Looking for family info on George W. GROVES. He was to have been born in Delphos on 06 Jan 1838 but his grave marker and Civil War records say 1835. His first marriage was in 1856 in Morrow County. He lived most of his life in Paulding County were he had 7 children with Mary Jane ANDERSON. I have found 2 marriage records in VanWert for him to: Lydia A. HOLBROOK (m. 23 Nov 1879) & Mary WARE (m. 20 Aug 1896)after his first wife died in 1878. I am desperately seeking the names of his parents and/or other siblings. Does anyone have records of early births? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on Freeman Wesley HUDSON, born June 14, 1841 in Van Wert, Ohio (possibly Johnston, Trumbull County, Ohio). He married Mary Jane LAWYER. His father was John HUDSON. Her parents were William LAWYER and Cathryn BACON. Mary Jane Lawyer was born May 20, 1840 probably in Greenville , Mercer Co., Pennsylvania. Their daughter was Bertha Grace HUDSON. Joseph GREENAMYER came to visit an aunt, Harriet ROBB, m. to an Amos ROBB. He and his father, Eli GREENAMYER, were Civil War Vets. Joseph married Lydia and they had three children, only one surviving childhood, Laura Peral GREENAMYER, b. 1888 d. 1872. She was born in Convoy.

I am trying to find information on any Schuckman (Shookman) that lived in Van Wert Co., OH from about 1855-1865. My great-grandfather, Samuel SHOOKMAN was born in VanWert Co in 1862, but as there are no birth records for that time period available. I am having a hard time finding information on his family. His parents names were Philip SCHUCKMAN and Lydia YOUSE.
Lydia YOUSE's immediate family may also have lived in Van Wert Co. at this time, and if so I am eager to find information on them as well. Her siblings include: Christian YOUSE, b.1830, Catharine YOUSE, b. betw.1834-1839, and Regina YOUSE, b.1840.

I am trying to locate information on the SCOTT family. My great great grandparents, Lemuel Wegnor JOHNSON and Nancy SCOTT were married in Van Wert County, April, 1850. They moved to Polk County, Iowa, in 1856. Her parents, James SCOTT and Eleanor SCOTT, also moved to Iowa as they are buried in Franklin Cem. right next to Nancy and Lemuel. I would like to find any information on Robert A. Taylor, born about 1867 in Delaware Co. NY to Charles TAYLOR and Elizabeth HONEYWELL. Prob. his father abandoned him, and had a second family later, including my grandfather. Robert A. may have been unknown to my grandfather, and vice versa. These are parents of Rev. William Moormanb and wife, Nancy Arnold, who settled in Spencerville area, Allen County, buried Hartford Church. Rev. Moorman was also a builder of churches, including Hartford Church, Spencerville, and another somewhere in Van Wert county. Where? He died 1885, need death certificate or other proof. Parents of Rev. Moorman, also named William Moorman, lived in area of Van Wert county town with name sounding like Venedocia.

I believe Harry is my great grandfather, Harry Waldo RICHARDS, Sr. He was born in Van Wert on Sept 30, 1858. He was a "mining stockbroker". He married Karen "Cora" RASMUSSEN in 1889 in Denver, CO. Karen and Harry Sr. had 3 children, all born in Denver, CO: Nellie K. RICHARDS, born nov-13-1892 (m. RUMMEL); Edna Harlan RICHARDS, born april-9-1890 (m. DINGLE, JONES); Harry Waldo RICHARDS, Jr., born on July 1, 1894 (m. SMITH).
Karen died sometime after my grandfather, Harry Jr. was born. Harry Sr. remarried a woman named Doris at some point.
Harry Jr. married my grandmother, Marguerite Ann SMITH, in ID on July 22,1921. My grandmother is now 97 years old! We know this was Harry RICHARDS Jr's second marriage, but don't know who his first wife was or if any children came of that marriage.

Seek Info abt Harvey ADAMS who m. 7 Dec 1856 to Jane BRYANT (?sis/o Emily who m.1853 Sylvester W. JOHNSON). ch: Harriett ADAMS (1862); William ADAMS (1864); Jesse ADAMS (1866).
Harvey (b.c.1833 Delaware Co.OH) moved with his parents Moses R. and Betsy (HULSE) ADAMS about 1842 to Van Wert Co. OH. His mother was dead by 1850 and his father by 1860. Family there Aat least through the 1870 census.
At least two, perhaps more, of his brothers died before 1850, one leaving a family of orphans, and the other had a widow who remarried to a BRYANT. There are no gravestones or probate for any of this family. Any information on this Adams family appreciated (including the BRYANT family).

Dear list members: I am having difficulty with my census research. I am in North Carolina, and , unfortunately our Genealogical library has lost there 1880 Ohio Census index. Could someone please look-up the following names in that index and forward it to me. We have the microfilm, but no index.
